This documentary is great. And the work these guys do is amazing! Thanks for posting this!
thanks for sharing this... it was really inspirational & touching to see the story behind these murals (that i've never even though twice about when driving around LA!). hope they stay in business forever!
What a wonderful film! I never considered the heart, soul, and effort that go into creating these types of murals. Really moving . . .
I've lived and traveled in Asia, and have seen many hand-painted murals for ads and movies (in Thailand and India) and have always marveled at the workmanship and how much it looks like a lost art (also knowing a lot of the pop artists — James Rosenquist in particular, did this kind of work early in their careers for money...) currently living in NY I am always amazed when I still see the hand-painted murals here, and always wonder how they are made, since they are gigantic and ever-changing (also wonder how businesses can make it viable these days) so am really glad to get an insider's view on this... and so beautifully done! Thanks so much for sharing!!
I've always wondered who made all those charming hand painted signs of yesterday, but It's so wonderful to learn that it has rich passionate artists keeping it alive and companies willing to invest in it. I still smile every time I drive by the "Pontiac Garage" painted sign here in downtown Gainesville."
THANK YOU for sharing this, it was incredible inspiration to start my day with!
i really enjoyed this. thanks!
awesome. loved every minute of it - thank you!
Hi!Your blog is great! accidentally into your blog, wish you happy! for me to blog!
Congratulations this is a really awsom docummentary, I relate to this artist my self, I been doing murals like this my self, but as working just my parner and I, we never had the oppurtunity to documment the way you done it.great job. thats' a keeper for life.
This documentary is great! My dad was a sign (interstate billboards) painter for over forty years. He was also phased out due to the vinyl technology. These guys who paint large scale have a huge amount of talent. My dad tells stories similar to the guys in the documentary about the process of learning the art, the dangers of the environment, and the joy and comradery of the painters.
So glad to find your blog.
how inspiring. thanks for sharing.
I loved this documentary. Very inspiring! It´s amazing the amount of patience that goes into the paintings.
