Two beautiful wedding portraits by my friend from college, Christopher Kuehl... who I miss dearly and had a significant impact on shaping who I was creatively. one of the handful of people in my life that may not realize how much they opened my eyes to certain things or inspired me.
Also... I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I've been taking a little breather from the internet as I wrap up a few projects. It's been a whirlwind year and I think it finally caught up to me a few weeks ago. I should be back to posting more regularly soon.
you may have seen their gorgeous wedding photos all around the internet lately but I just wanted to share a few photos of max & margaux and their lovely wedding. It's one of my favorite's that I've seen.. it just looked so festive, laid back and full of love. I also had the pleasure of working with the couple on their custom invitation set (above)..
I've been feeling pretty under the weather this week but I've got to tough it out at the office because there's just too much to be done. SO, I thought I would just pretend that I'm home cuddled up with a blanket watching an old classic film and decided to put together a little round up of how to be under the weather with class..
1. put on some soothing tunes like my favorite artist right now, Melody Gardot; 2. Curl up with a classic book; 3. cute Anthro mugs; 4. Heath Ceramics tea pot; 5. Ikea throw; 6. J.Crew sequin sweatshirt- perfect for classy lounging; 7. put on a classic film such as An Affair to Remember (Cary Grant makes everyone feel better); 8. sip some Kusmi tea- pretty tins & wonderful flavors
I'm so excited to announce that we have our pre-order up for our new Heirloom Recipe Card Boxes! We only have a limited quantity on our first run and don't expect another batch of boxes to arrive until the Fall so reserve yours now if you want one! We'll begin shipping boxes in about 4-6 weeks and if you order before July 12th you'll get free shipping (U.S. ground).
A bit about the boxes...
Our heirloom recipe card boxes are made by local craftsmen from locally salvaged hardwood (trees that were destined for landfills). All of the boxes are unique and hand-crafted during a 3-month-long process (a month for the mill to source the salvaged wood, a month to build in the workman's studio, and a month for the hand-rubbed finish to dry). The lids are then screen printed with two different design options and they come with 12 dividers and 24 recipe cards. Click here to order!
Many thanks to Grace & D*S for posting about the boxes this morning!
p.s. we're also offering free ground shipping on all orders in the shop over $100 through the 12th.
After a few months of hiatus we're finally back to building out our storefront area of our studio. With the National Stationery Show and the height of wedding season we had to put everything on hold but we're finally making it a priority again. As I write, Blair & Craig are installing 5 shelves that will hold all of our greeting cards. My iPhone picture doesn't show it well but they're trays with removable dividers so that we can rearrange the placement of different cards and boxes easily. Another friend of ours made the metal hairpin style brackets.
My new goal is to have our store ready by mid-August but I've learned that I can't really make any promises... but that's what I'm hoping for. I've got some big plans for an epic opening party so i'll definitely be posting updates here on the blog as we get closer.
Angela Ligouri's imported Italian cotton ribbon is one of my favorite things ever.. The colors are beautiful and I love the texture. We're actually going to be stocking the ribbon when we open our retail store in Winter Park so if you're in the area you'll be able to get it locally (I'm stocking a handful of unique items that you can't find in the area that I'm really excited about).
I especially love this new sampler pack that lets you try a yard of 20 different colors..
I created this board for a Cup of Jo guest post but thought I would post it here as well...
